George M. Grass, Pharm.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Grass currently serves as Chief Business Officer of RaptorGraphics. He also helped found RaptorGraphics in 1991.
Dr. Grass also currently serves as President of G2 Research, a consulting firm for biotechnology and pharmaceutical
industry. Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer of Trega Biosciences, Inc. which was acquired by Lion bioscience
in April 2001. Dr. Grass was founder and President & CEO of NaviCyte, Inc., which merged with Trega Biosciences in
November 1998. He has 20 years of postgraduate industry experience, and is an expert in membrane transport and pharmacokinetics.
He was previously founder, President & CEO of Precision Instrument Design, Inc, a successful membrane transport
instrumentation and computer modeling company. He began his career at Syntex Research, as a Staff Researcher
for the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, where he was responsible for development of early stage compounds
for oral delivery. He has also served as a consultant to Allergan, Chiron, Corning, Lion bioscience, SmithKline
Beecham, Roche, Sequus Pharmaceuticals, Gilead, Structural Genomics and others.
Dr. Grass holds a Pharm.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Ph.D in Pharmaceutics from the
University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is the 1989 co-recipient of the Ebert Prize, which he received in recognition
for his work in ocular drug kinetics and simulation modeling. His research focus is in pharmacokinetics, pharmacokinetic
computer simulation, oral absorption, ocular pharmacokinetics and drug delivery & membrane transport of drug compounds and
has been awarded five United States patents for innovations in these areas.
